I am a sport and exercise undergraduate student at Loughborough University aspiring to work in professional sport. I have a real passion for sport, demonstrated by my completion of the Young Leaders in Cricket programme in 2021. This involved learning about mental toughness, umpiring, scoring and coaching, as well as having volunteering and fundraising components. I completed around 38 hours of volunteering at my cricket club throughout 2021 and raised £730 from running a 6-a-side cricket tournament. This all resulted in me being awarded a rising star award by the Hertfordshire cricket board and a special commendation award from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). Since my completion of this programme, I have completed a support coach course in cricket as well as becoming a Certified Padel Coach with PadelMBA. I have experience working as a padel coach throughout the summer of 2024, offering private one to one and group padel lessons, in addition to some padel workshop type sessions. Throughout my time studying sport and exercise science at Loughborough University, I am looking to develop my skills and experience working in elite sport by getting involved in their CVA programme and completing a placement year during my studies. I’m looking forward to learning more on my academic course and gaining experience throughout my time at university.
