Started in the Carlsberg Excellence department, overseeing various projects throughout the brewery. I was given the responsibility of managing various projects within different facets of the brewery. This included developing a project to ensure quality standards for special order shipments to international countries, taking over a project lead that encompassed a variety of departments to reduce the outstanding inventory, and planning the implementation of a robotic installation within the warehouse. Halfway through, my internship was paused due to Covid-19. I then wrote my final thesis for Carlsberg instead. The project aimed to improve the supply chain for a critical installation within the brewery that was routinely impacted by high costs and inconsistent control. Using the tools learned and through systematic problem solving, a final recommendation was developed that resulted in lowering the total cost of fulfillment by 24% and the inventory by 15% with minimal investment while improving control throughout the supply chain and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.Towards the end of my time at Carlsberg, I was given the opportunity to become the Process Engineer for a production priority line. Here I was responsible for ensuring the production was running efficiently and effectively, supporting the line leader and developing KPIs to ensure optimal production.
