Hi, friend!I'm Oluwafemi, a business strategist and entrepreneur with deep experience in finance, product innovation, digital technologies, and system design. My passion lies in using innovation, technology, and sustainable finance to make a positive impact on society.I'm currently working to establish Raha, the first bank in Africa to focus on green and sustainable finance. Before this, I founded StreetCred and Pistis Finserve, two companies that have collectively provided over 1Billion Naira (approx. $2.5 million) in loans to more than 10,000 women traders, artisans, and street vendors across Nigeria. Through various initiatives, I also work to promote education, literacy, and leadership among young people.My academic background includes a Master's degree in Business Strategy and Innovation from the University of Southampton, UK, where I was honoured to be a British Chevening Scholar and won prizes for outstanding achievement . I also hold a Master's degree in International Affairs and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy, where I focused on Geopolitics, Globalization and Economic Statecraft. I am also proud to be an alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria’s most beautiful university (I'm sure you'll agree!). Incidentally, I won a prize while I was there too, as the Best Graduating Student in Biochemistry. Over the years, I have become particularly interested in sustainable finance and its potential to address environmental and societal challenges. To pursue this interest, I've studied Green and Sustainable Finance at both the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and the Chartered Bankers Institute in Scotland, earning the CCBI GSFP designation.In recognition of my accomplishments, I was awarded the 2022 British Council UK Alumni Award for Business and Innovation in Nigeria. I also serve on the Governing Board of the Chevening Alumni Association of Nigeria, where I work to support fellow alumni in their personal and professional growth.When I'm not working, I love to travel and explore new places. I'm also a thinker and an avid reader.
