Projects & Skills:• Flight test planning (Mission Planner), autopilot configuration and tuning (Ardupilot), flight test data analysis using MavExplorer, bespoke Python scripts, and Excel.• UAV Pilot (Fixed-wing and multi-rotor GVC) – conducting test and commercial flying with small (sub 5kg) fixed-wing aircraft. GCS operator for solar UAV (~15kg) flight testing.• Flight operations record keeping (including Operations Manual and PDRA01).• Electrical power, control system (autopilot and RC), and loom design and sensor integration.• Physical electrical systems integration/assembly. • Design feasibility studies of novel configuration UAVs, including aerodynamics, stability, and control surface design using XFLR5 and bespoke Python models. I also wrote a flight simulation model to study dynamics and motion during novel launches of complex aircraft.• Writing Innovate UK and SBRI grant proposals

Teaching over 500 hours worth of GCSE and A-Level Maths and Physics lessons to 14-18 year olds has hugely improved my ability to communicate and explain with detail and clarity. Planning and delivering lessons in between my intense university studies has also helped with my organisational skills. Not only teaching private students but also helping pupils in the School's Programme who come from disadvantaged backgrounds and those on the National Tutoring Programme who needed help catching up at school during the COVID disruption of summer 2020.

I returned to Callen-Lenz in the summer before my final year, a year after I completed my internship. Initially, I ran the machine shop, completing all aluminium and carbon milling (including toolpath creation using VCarve Pro), lasercutting and 3D Printing. I was then given responsibility for the build of a large, bespoke multi-rotor project - including all avionics (soldering, loom assembly) and mechanical construction, following engineering drawings.

Product and Systems Design of UAVs. I developed CAD skills using DS Solidworks and system/electrical wiring diagrams using Microsoft Visio. I led and supported the design of several LRUs which were used in production UAVs.I continued my work in the Operations department, assisting with flight testing UAVs, including on deployed operations around the UK.

Manufacturing, Assembly and Flight Testing of UAVsImproved both hands on skills (general assembly, wiring, soldering, crimping), computer aided manufacture (carbon and aluminium milling) and manufacturing process improvements, including quality control.
