Lead Software Engineer
- Developed an email streaming service in a CRM app for users to see client-employee conversations using Event Hub and Graph API message subscriptions to store message events, azure functions to process the ingested messages and cosmos db to store the messages at scale- Developed a distributed SignalR service that allows multiple applications to pass messages to browser applications without configuring SignalR services for each of those applications. This required the creation of an SDK wrapper to provide access to all the supported signalR channels. This used Azure SignalR service in place of redis backplane for sticky sessions and scalability.- Led the creation of a COSMOS library to provide repository and unit of work features to the Azure CosmosDb client. This enabled developers to query the cosmos db using familiar syntax (close to EF Core) without having to understand the inner workings of the cosmos db.
Lead Technical Architect
The project is a Learning Management System built for a low scale for schools in developing countries. Created the initial architecture and algorithms for this SAAS product. Started as a side project but grew to a large scale. TECHNOLOGY USED: C#, .NET Core, Angular, SQL, Micro-services, Javascript, Azure Cloud, Azure Storage, Azure Tables, Blobs, Autofac, Internationalization libraries
Software Development Consultant
- Led the development and maintenance of seven internal pharmaceutical applications.- Developed application security policies and guidelines used across multiple engagement teams within the organization. This helped improve the overall information security posture of the organization. - Created a rate manager application used by pharmacists and internal business analysts to help manage state-based rates and reimbursement to different cost providers using rates from different data sources, including data warehouses and internal data marts. - Designed an internal JavaScript library for the Pharmacy team because third-party components were prohibited in government projects. This eased frontend development, gave similar expressive capabilities as popular frontend frameworks. - Configured CI/CD pipelines for all seven internal applications using Bamboo by Atlassian. Configured this using different command lines to build, test and deploy artifacts into all web environments to save the cost of using plugins. - Developed an internal tool (DbUpdater) to help include data deployments as part of CI/CD processes. This removed the need to create separate data deployments. Deployments were added to the Bamboo build and were triggered by the same process used by the application. - Upgraded existing applications to use the latest schematics and practices. This includes the introduction of IOC containers for NET framework apps, the introduction of the API-First paradigm to create sharable resources within the organization and business area using Open-API specification and swagger, the introduction of unit tests using x-Unit, and mocked EF context to test business logic, and the introduction of ESLint to help lint JS files and enforce standard practices to local workstations and CI/CD build pipelines.
Software Developer
- Led the creation of a developer tool for deep object comparison. This was used to help log changes to database objects without depending on SQL triggers- Refactored non-compliant stored procedures to be compliant based on project requirements some of which were guided by federal and state regulations- Introduced unit testing to existing .NET framework application to test and validate existing business logic.- Converted some stored procedures to POCO to consolidate business logic into one place. This allowed easy maintenance, bug fixes, reusability, testability, and a move toward a microservice architecture.- Maintained state government applications. This system helps handle charging and billing for legal claims. Lawyers used the application.
Programmer Analyst
- Led the conversion of legacy applications from PHP’s CodeIgniter to .NET using Azure services, .NET Core, SQL Server, and Angular. - Integrated IoT device data from third-party APIs and Azure event hub to an internal data warehouse. This brought a lot of unstructured data. Additional work had to be done via ETL and SSIS packages to clean data and make it ready for near-real-time analytics - Participated in the migration of database from MySQL to SQL server database using SQL server 2016 license- Led the configuration of PouchDb into frontend applications to enable fast access to reference data without a database server round trip- Assisted in the implementation of single sign-on using Microsoft Azure AD to both internal and external applications. This depended on Azure B2C and B2B
Software Engineer
- Wrote complex algorithms using Laravel PHP to make food delivery and acquisition efficient- Used Javascript, Bootstrap, SematicJS and other open source libraries to develop intuitive interfaces- Used MySQL to write complex reports- Wrote secured data endpoints that are made available to authenticated identities- Used AUTH0 to implement API authentication- Participated in requirement gathering and agile software project management- Managed outsourced vendors
