Hi, my name is Alexandre Ribeiro. I’ve been a designer for 18 years, or rather, I discovered 18 years ago that I’ve always been a designer.I’ve always loved art, organization, and alignment of things. I remember when I was a child, my parents would go shopping groceries, and it was my job (and I enjoyed it) to organize the groceries in the pantry/cabinet with some logic of use, separating what is sweet, salty, cleaning products, and always thinking about what has the shortest expiration date in front, the tomato sauces next to the pasta, and always choosing the best combinations to make the most of the space.After a long time, I discovered that being a designer is not exactly about knowing how to draw; it’s much more than that. It’s about being able to plan solutions that are useful and make people’s lives easier with purpose and function. It’s much more about planning any space with colors, fonts, breathing room using white space, hierarchy of information size, selecting the perfect image to engage those who need it. In other words, I don’t need to be realistic when drawing; it’s about studying and filling myself with references to organize an ad, packaging, or a brand, and also to organize the groceries in the pantry/cabinet.I’ve worked at various types of agencies and design studios to meet demands from tiny event materials to giant point-of-sale materials, printed and digital materials for big brands like Visa, MasterCard, Itaú, Disney, P&G, Sony Ericsson, Harley Davidson, TCL, Ifood, Globo. If it appears on a screen or is printed, I’ve probably done something.After some time in the market, I’ve led designers, art directors, and copywriters and discovered that it makes me very happy to help the evolution of those who work with me in some way in their daily lives or careers.I like to work with challenging, well-planned demands, with comfortable deadlines that require finishing, a refined look, and dedication, which I believe are my “soft skills.”In my daily life, I use the standard tools for any graphic designer: Adobe package (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, After Effects). I use Figma less frequently but still use it for UI prototypes, Cinema 4D, and Blender for 3D deliveries, as well as Google tools, Office, and Trello for daily demands.www.aleribeirostudio.com
