I am excited about programming, so much that solving problems by writing computer programs has become one of my great passions. I discovered this when I began to study Physics at the Faculty of Sciences of UNAM, being my first approach to C, a language for which I still have great affection. At that time, being able to instruct the computer to plot mathematical functions just got me hooked. My most significant professional development occurred during my doctoral research at the UNAM Institute of Physics investigating ultracold atoms and quantum physics, and later, while working as a Research Assistant. What I acquired from this experience can be compiled as follows: - A strong ability for research project management and analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing information, resulting in five peer-reviewed scientific articles published in international journals, several presentations, and collaborations inside and outside of Mexico.- Expertise in Python and its scientific ecosystems, including NumPy, SciPy, matplotlib, numba, dask, ipython, and jupyter libraries; overall experience with tools such as Git / Github and Linux; and ability to perform statistical modeling of data and use stochastic Markov Chain Monte Carlo techniques.- Confidence to communicate complex concepts and work in culturally diverse environments. I also enjoy investigating new scientific and technical knowledge and learning new programming languages, tools, and techniques to enhance my professional performance and satisfy my natural curiosity. Currently, I am promoting my professional development in Data Science to contribute with my skills to overcome the challenges that our daily life imposes on us. From my viewpoint, data may come from a deterministic, physical many-body simulation or the impact of a pandemic caused by an unknown pathogen. In any case, data is the raw material that will guide us to the answers we need.
