Obaid Al blooshi is an IT professional with over 15 years’ experience working across the UAE for both government organisations and multi-national corporations. Throughout his career, Obaid has always optimised the use of technology in supporting the delivery of an organisation’s objectives, with a specialist knowledge in IT infrastructure and security. In his current role as Zone Manager, Technology Operations, he is accountable for ensuring the needs of both the visitors and exhibitors are met by providing a consistent service level across the site. Obaid has experience of working with a broad range of stakeholders, understanding their requirements and translating this into effective, cost-efficient solutions. Within his role at Expo, he liaises with the site management team, venue operations, international participants, Premier Partners and third-party contractors. In addition to his core IT knowledge, he also has a dynamic experience in Geographical Information Systems, using advance techniques to gather crucial intelligence for key security agencies. Obaid’s passion for aviation extends beyond the professional, and he is also a commercial fixed wing and private helicopter pilot. Obaid graduated from the Sharjah Institute of Technology, with a diploma in information systems and Fujairah Aviation Academy with air transport pilot license.
