I am responsible for conducting research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of electrical generation and distribution networks, electrical machinery and components, preparing material cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for electrical and electronic systems and equipment, designing electrical and electronic circuits, components, systems and equipment.My duties also include developing maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment, investigating electrical or electronic failures with respect to Electrical projects. I also participate in the supervision and inspections of the installation, modification, testing and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment, develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment, and investigate electrical or electronic failures. I prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for construction or maintenance, supervise technicians, programmers, analysts and other engineers. Additionally, I maintain all associated technical and administrative records of work performed.Leveraging my expertise, I ensure that site works are undertaken in accordance with all applicable quality standards, approved construction drawings and specifications. In this position, I have managed projects worth more than 250,000 USD. Other projects that have been under my control include;• Electrical Power Upgrade (worth above 1.1 M. USD) – Final phase at Ghana Rubber Estates Ltd, Apimanim• Power supply to Electrowind Stone Quarry, Teberebie

My duties included managing, planning and controlling project schedules. In addition, I ensured that activities were completed on time and within or under budget. I also issued requests for proposals to likely vendors and tracked the quotations. My extensive knowledge was useful in identifying suitable vendors as well as grading performance throughout project.My collaborative capability was demonstrated while working closely with project managers and clients to establish job criteria, labour, equipment requirements as well as overall parameters of project scope. As a competent Planning Engineer, I was responsible for overseeing 3 concurrent projects running at two job sites. Furthermore, I managed operations, monitored progress and evaluated quality. I also organised and implemented logistical strategies and created pricing schedules.My team management skills were useful in overseeing installations as well as maintenance repairs. I also provided technical guidance during troubleshooting repairs done to electrical equipment, control panels, power distribution systems as well as associated switchgear in plants, substations and factories.My determination produced very positive results leading to increased profit margins. In addition, I made significant reductions in power plant installation costs by renegotiating equipment delivery contract.
