For more than 25 years, I’ve been immersed in the world of architecture, planning, and urban design, leading multi-disciplinary teams on public projects of all sizes. Along the way, I realized something simple yet powerful: the best public spaces don’t just happen—they emerge when we take the time to understand the people who live and work in them. A truly ‘great’ space isn’t just about aesthetics or awards—it’s about creating places that feel like they belong, are embraced by the local neighborhood, and nurture both the physical and mental well-being of the community.This belief led me to co-found Inhabit Place, a platform designed to move beyond aggregated big data and anonymous digital engagement. We focus on capturing meaningful insights by working directly with communities—especially those often left out of the conversation, such as women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities. We’re committed to SDG 11.7, creating public spaces that are safe, inclusive, green, and accessible for everyone.And the magic? It happens when place stakeholders share our vision and partner with us, bringing our participatory approach into their projects. Together, we’re not just creating spaces that look good—we’re creating places that feel right for the people who use them, places that truly belong to their communities.
