Two main achievements, implementation and development of the supply chain Department (SCD) within Lafarge Morocco and the launch of the export activity.Implementation of the SC Department including HR organization, SC processes and tools.The perimeter of the SCD which included initially only cement was quickly extended to other product lines (aggregate and plaster) covering the entire Moroccan territory (over 400 delivery points) from 10 dispatch sites.The Department had 60 Lafarge employees, a fleet of 200 vehicles and 8 contracted carriers. Net annual transport business amounted to over 100 million dirham ( 10 M€ ) for a transported volume of over 2 million tones.The balance between transport safety, customer service and cost control was an ongoing concern and represents the main challenge identified in the implementation of this Department.Innovative solutions had to be developed and implemented. Solutions that combined Lafarge Morocco resources and expertise along with local startup in new technologies: GPS tracking, RFID, Telecom, Geographic Information Systems (GIS).Major investments were carried out in this context: - Implementation of a Customer Service Centre (5 MDH) - Implementation of TMS for transport optimization (4 MDH) - Automation of dispatch at Bouskoura plant (10 million dirhams) - Automation of bag loading in Bouskoura plant (14 million dirhams)Development of export: Lafarge Morocco has exported one of its products for the first time in its history in 2014. Over 400 kt clinker were exported to various African countries: Ivory Coast, Mauritania, Algeria, Cameroon and Benin .

Within the Strategy Department of Lafarge trading ( Cementia ).Setting up for Africa and Middle East region, a monitoring process to track cement flow and clinker import and export. This information has since been used by the Lafarge group for the definition of the development strategy in the region.
