Part of the entrepreneurial leadership team that helped create a strategy to launch this company, which is a venture-backed $55M software spinoff from Stratigent, LLC. Initially, I played a broad operations role. This included creating systems and processes for the organization, as well as a pricing structure and strategy of a product that didn’t exist in the marketplace. In addition, I took on an influential role in the recruitment of the company’s leadership team.I worked closely with other board members and leadership team in developing a finance strategy in the $15M Series A and $40M Series B financing. I also was selected as Chairperson of the Audit Committee. Clients have included: American Express, Sony, Motorola, Capital One, Staples, Microsoft, Monster, Verizon, Dell, Intuit, T-Mobile, Home Depot and United Airlines.

Participated in a one-year, full-time Master of Science degree program for experienced leaders. It provides a deeper knowledge of the art and science of leadership in a concentrated, energetic environment.

Bootstrapped this multi-channel analytics consulting firm from 0 to 25 employees, and helped achieve annual revenue of $4M – along with a strong record of above-market profitability. I successfully negotiated its sale to Ebiquity, PLC in 2013.In creating a strategic plan and vision collaboratively with the leadership team, we were able to acquire banner name clients including Purina/Nestle, United Airlines, Target, Blue Cross-Blue Shield and Intercontinental Hotels Group.I was a member of the leadership team driving all financial aspects of the organization, and became the Managing Member of the LLC in 2010. I modeled the annual budget and plan, modeled rate cards which empowered further market expansion, created tight processes and controls for expenses, established strong reporting processes and systems, created cash flow policies and reporting, addressed overdue account receivables and managed short-term investments. Overall, I provided operational and financial leadership to enable the organization to function on a day-to-day basis.

As a member of the Board I helped the organization make difficult decisions regarding transitions in leadership, as well as operational controls. I stepped into the role of Treasurer during a time of financial distress. I quickly took on leadership of a strategic committee tasked with the initiative to address the financial difficulties. With my leadership, a new budget was created with 25% reduced expenses to balance decreasing enrollment.I was able to bring accounts receivable back under control by aggressively pursuing all overdue accounts, and creating payment plans for many of them. I also put processes in place to avoid severely overdue accounts moving forward. Working closely with the staff accountant, we were able to ensure strong financial controls and compliance.

I was initially hired as a Senior Consulting Associate at this industry-leading financial consultant to the world’s largest endowments. My finance background, willingness to work hard and an ability to influence/persuade others enabled my success as an Associate.In less than one year, I was recognized for my leadership potential and promoted to Team Leader. I served in this leadership role while simultaneously continuing my Senior Consulting Associate responsibilities. It was also during this time that I passed all 3 exams of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
