➢ To assist in Construction/Modernisation works.➢ To assist on Service/Maintenance and repair works.➢ To collect data for modernization and new jobs, and provide S.I sheets for new machines.➢ To do the adjustment and commissioning of newly installed elevators and Escalators.➢ Responsible for management and ensuring that work activities by FIELD TECHNICIANS are undertaken in accordance with business needs and Customer satisfaction is guaranteed.➢ Actively participate in identification and implementation of know how (improvements ) on machines to ensure continuous and smooth running of equipment.➢ Ensure safety compliance and relevant standards are adhered to when undertaking any Job.➢ Ensure compliance with statutory acts and regulations and consent conditions and that at statutory for equipment are met personally and has a team.➢ Responsible for mechanical,electrical and electronics document management and readily available at all times when needed.➢ Assist Field Superintendent with regards to planned maintenance, collecting of shaft measurements, major repair works and scheduling of services.➢ Actively conduct root cause analysis programs on repair works and modernisation jobs.➢ Carry out administrative functions in the absence of the Field Superintendent.➢ Help in interpretation of mechanical and electrical engineering drawings.➢ Conducts a root cause of failure for an identified machine and provides recommendations as corrective or pre-emptive actions.➢ Involved in Project Engineering from installations to commissioning of Elevators/Escalators.➢ Involved in inventory Management➢ Did a complete overhaul of two escalators at the Levy Mall Junction in Lusaka by removing and changing the Steps, main drive chain which had worn out,Reprogramming the VFD drive, changing of safety switches and main drive chains.➢ Programming and commissioning of the Monarch Drive of the Man lift at Lafarge Cement Plant and also monthly routine maintenance.

To ensure that there are optimum operations and safety is observed at the plants by;➢ Providing improvement measures.➢ Making sure process units and parts are in good operation at all the plants (Emulsion, detonator and expancel plant)➢ Chairing meetings (Safety talks) with operators on machine operations➢ Ensuring all safety measures are taken before commencing any job (risk assessment form filled in)➢ Plan routine service of critical machines( Pumps,Valves, Motors,Heat exchangers and Electric/Disiel Boilers)➢ Facilitate team work ,mutual trust and respect amongst team members.
