I ask 'stupid' questions.Starting off my career as an introverted salesperson, I would have been content just to coast through life until I realized I wanted more. Quickly rising through the ranks to business development and sales manager, I learnt that the easiest way to get things done was to never take anything for granted. Later on, while sharing a class with engineers and scientists, I developed my skills at asking questions until anything became fair game. My ability to ask the 'whys', 'whats' and 'wheres' introduced me to the world of analytics, and just like that I found my calling.From analyzing market trends, assessing and managing risk, and supporting economic modeling portfolios, I got a taste of data analysis and chose to pursue this path. Everyday at JWU, I was like a kid in a candy store. When I wrote my first R script, I was fascinated at how a few lines of code could do amazing (that's how I saw it) things. Now with every project completed, every tool utilized, I know I don't want to do anything else for the rest of my life. I'm content sitting at a computer for hours on end debugging code or trying to get a chart to look just right. I enjoy tasks like cleaning data, optimizing models and creating decks to report insights, and all of this because I ALWAYS have questions.So far, I have mastered and been exposed to a range of analytics tools; and still, I'm learning and loving every minute of it.
