Safety Manager Nigeria
Current• Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.• Engage the management committee in Gemba walk.• Monitor country behavioural system through BOS • Train all Management council and plant managers on safety, leadership, and performance• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety in Nigeria.• Implement company-defined Health & Safety programs at all locations and provide necessary support.• Plan HSE country budget and adhere with the budget.• Coordinate country safety leadership meeting and report site base performance.• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law.• Coach and assist the Health & Safety network within the company and serve as a liaison within the region.• Develop country safety plan and enforce it.• Define plant and safety and sustainability KPI.• Include safety and sustainability KPI in country goals.• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.• Monitor compliance to policies and laws across the plants in Nigeria.• Elevate country safety profile in the region.• Review machine and equipment inspection across plants and ensure gaps are timely closed.• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.• Report on country health and safety awareness, issues and statistics to management committee.• Validate root cause analysis and action plans for major accidents or near misses, ensuring follow-up on action plans.
