I volunteer some of my free time to provide mentorship and support for newer industry (I.T.) entrants who could benefit from my knowledge, experience and advice.

We focus on Data Strategies (compliant gathering of relevant data and processing of clean data), Growth-Hacking, and Machine Learning implementations (predictive models, NLP, e.t.c.).

Spareable is a application that facilitates and automates the donation of food and volunteering for food-banks through a robust software that also provides an inventory system for the foodbanks. With an Agile approach adopted for product development, I took up the role of Product Owner.

This business has won many awards in the North-East (notably; Newcastle University Enterprise Department - Best New Business 2019, Newcastle University -Outstanding Contribution to Innovation, Creativity and Enterprise) and the founder recently received an Exceptional talent endorsement from TechNation. Currently, the capacity of the working relationship is to iteratively refine and implement marketing strategies for brand and product awareness to push sales

This was a cross-functional role. I was responsible for carrying out full cycle implementations and providing technical support on ERP financial applications (Oracle) and the company’s custom-built financial applications. This included a range of financial software for payment processing, inventory management, bank reconciliation, etc. With an Agile approach adopted, I perform as Product Owner during the development process of custom applications, and as such, I have experience working closely with developers, for instance, to define, manage, prioritise and test product ‘features’ and ‘use cases’. I exercised my creative problem solving skills and as an expert on how these ERP and custom financial applications are built, I was able to design the best setup configurations to meet clients requirements.Furthermore, I constantly engaged directly with clients, consistently applying my presentation, communication, interpersonal and organisational skills to communicate effectively and draw out useful information. I developed my documentation skills, which was key to all these activities. I believe that the exposure and skill set that I developed and honed in this position would allow me to perform effectively in any business/IT environment.

I interned at ERP School Africa who provide training and consultancy services in ERP and Business Intelligence (BI). In my role, I:- provided technical support during projects- supported marketing campaigns- performed data cleaning, data warehousing and relational database management (SQL and PL-SQL)- analysed and generated reports on Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition In addition, I completed two IT courses:- Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE); SQL querying and PLSQL programming, Oracle, Data Warehousing, ETL Processes, Data Cleaning/Analysis, Dashboards/Reports.- Oracle Human Resources Management System (HRMS)

This job position was offered by the ‘University of Sheffield International College’ (USIC). USIC is a foundation college for international students wanting to get into Universities in the UK. As a college assistant, there was a variety of responsibilities that included invigilating student tests and examinations, picking up new students from the airport and showing them to their accommodation, chaperoning students on school trips and social events, setting up for student activities, etc. It was a position that required very strong interpersonal skills, patience and initiative.

This was a desk job that involved making phone calls to alumni of the University towards negotiating and processing donations for the ‘Alumni Fund’ which was devoted to improving University facilities and General student experience. As a member of the University student caller team, responsibilities also included engaging in pleasant conversation with alumni to recollect their experiences in University, catching up and making a record of their progression post graduation, updating them on changes and improvements in the University and confirming and updating contact information on the system. As a successful member of the Alumni caller team, I have been able to improve effectiveness and confidence in my communication skill, which has allowed me to inspire multiple donations towards my University Alumni Fund.
