Engr. Obidike Nelkon Uzu holds both bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Port-Harcourt in 1989 and 1995, respectively. He is also an alumnus (OPM50 - Owner President Program 2015-2017) of Harvard Business School, Boston USA, and alumnus of Cambridge Judge Business School (ALP) at the University of Cambridge in 2015. In addition, he has attended several professional training courses in Nigeria, London, Houston, and Aberdeen.He had extensive on-the-job training in Field Services Operations, Business Development and Leadership in major areas around the world clocking more than 30 years’ oil field experience in Drilling Operations (Sedco Forex), Petroleum Production Technology (Shell) and Process and Pipeline Services (B.J Services). Within this period, he successfully participated in major projects in Nigeria, America, and UK. He retired from BJ Services in 2009 after 13 years of meritorious service, of which, he spent 9 years as the Country Manager, Pipeline Division. Thereafter, he collaborated with five other eminently qualified Nigerians to set up the Global Process and Pipeline Services Ltd (GPPSL), where he has been the Managing Director for the past 11 years. From the outset, GPPSL became a leading indigenous player in the service sector of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry through the provision of seamless services powered by sustainable innovations. GPPSL has grown to become the best Oil Services Company in Nigeria in 2018 and 2019 as adjudged by the Nigeria International Petroleum Summit (NIPS) and the second-best local Company of the year 2019 by the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NCDMB). For over three decades, Engr.
