My Function is to moderate both units across all endorsements of the GCSE Specification. Ensuring that standardisation is met across all areas and that centres are following the national standard.Specific responsibilities1. Complete new moderator training prior to standardisation. 2. Adhere to the agreed centre visit dates and the moderation periods stipulated by Pearson.3. Visit centres to carry out the moderation of internally assessed units.4. Ascertain the accuracy of each centre’s assessment of candidate work, checking that their application of assessment criteria is in line with overall standards of the examination.5. Inspect the selected sample of work requested by Pearson.6. Keep records of arranged visits and submit to your team leader and the Pearson allocations team by the specified deadline.7. Inform your team leader and Pearson allocations team of any changes to your centre allocation or dates/times of your visits.8. Ensure that the requirements for the conduct of the examinations are met, and tell Pearson staff/representative about any issues you encounter.9. Record mark decisions and complete an E9 centre report for each centre you moderate, and submit them to Pearson through the on-line system.10. Keep records of all visits, marks and E9 reports for the centres you moderate throughout the examination series.11. Write an E10 general report on the examination series and submit this report to your allocated team leader.

I taught a range of creative photography projects that included both traditional and digital based technologies. • 100% A*-C Pass rate 4 years running• Progression of learners into full time studies at Kirklees College• Outstanding recognition from the Exam Board• Work produced well above the national standard. External moderator comments: “This is an excellent centre, it has an atmosphere conducive to learning and the students all have a considerable knowledge and understanding of the subjectstaught.
