Graphic design and illustration are my passion and the continual changes in this field bring me new challenges that keep my passion alive. That passion has fueled a strong desire to continue my career in professional advertising for the past 20+ years.In 1992, my education was completed as I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with emphasis in graphic design and illustration. Most of my educational background was completed in the "stone age" of commercial design with manual illustration, rubylith, and stenciled typset machines, but I have progressed well in the world of digital design.My employment experience over the years ranges from freelance commercial design to art direction for a local television studio and the publishing arena. I have enjoyed my involvement in the Advertising Department of 2 major Nebraska newspapers and subsequent employment with an Art Production/Pre-press Department with leading print shop and publishing companies.But there's nothing quite as satisfying as being your own boss! I fulfilled that dream over 7 years ago, having gathered a bevy of clients throughout my experiences. The work is that much harder, but the rewards of running your own company far exceeds the toil.Over the course of my many years, I have developed expertise with several software programs on both the Macintosh and Windows platforms. For the past several years I've offered services as a freelance graphic designer. Offering both quality and quick turnaround time on a plethora of projects, coupled with reasonable rates and flexible service has earned me some respectable clients, many of which are showcased in my portfolio.
