As a postdoctoral researcher in nanoscale photonics, I study the interaction of electromagnetic radiation with nanomaterials. My speciality is the fiels of Epsilon-Near-Zero Metamaterials and the design, fabrication, and testin of highly absorbing multilayer nanomaterial structures.

On a weekly basis I took a group of students around the clean room facility of the School of Physics and give them a hands on tutorial and demonstration of the fabrication of a metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET). This included the teaching and demonstration of techniques such as UV photolithrography, the etching of silicon dioxide with hydrofluoric acid, metal vapour deposition, field oxidation, and high-temperature doping.

In this role I was responsible for the entertainment of English language students studying in the various Dublin schools run by CES. In this position, I was responsible for serving customers, ensuring food and hygiene standards were upheld, cleaning the restaurant and assisting in deliveries.

My responsibilities in this position were to prepare various ball rooms and conference rooms for function such as weddings, anniversaries, business meetings, special occasions, etc. I was also responsible for cleaning the hotel, general maintenance, assisting customers with luggage and room service and occasionally helping with barkeeping.
