Hello! I am Patrick. I am currently a full-time student pursuing a diploma in Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at Singapore Polytechnic. My journey in engineering has been fueled by an insatiable curiosity about how things work and the principles behind their functionality. I am especially fascinated by the world of robotics and autonomous machinery, where the brilliant combinations of electronics, electromagnetism, electrical systems, and computer science seem to breathe life into pieces of metal and hardwood. This fascination of mine drove me to pursue a diploma in Mechatronics and Robotics, in where skills I acquired such as PLC programming, C++, AutoCAD, Industrial automation, digital electronics and complex analysis (mathematics) have allowed me to attain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the word of robotics. As a robotics engineer, I hope to put these skills to full use to create and invent products and systems that target the improvement and betterment of society and its standard of living.To this end, my passionate pursuit of Robotics has earned me a spot on the Director’s Honour Roll. My dedication to all things mechanical and mathematical has also earned me a book prize for excellence in mathematics. These achievements fuel my commitment to excel in the fascinating world of robotics.In addition to my academic pursuits, I also participate actively as a leader in my community. I currently serve as the Director of Professional Development for the SP Rotaract Club. I actively engage in community and service-learning activities, as I work towards the mission of the Rotary Club of Singapore to “make positive changes in your community and the world”. Beyond that, my role involves me initiating, directing, and leading various workshops and events for my club members, to help develop them professionally and prepare them for the future. I strive to inspire continuous self-improvement and foster an environment of growth and development. Taking on this role, I have honed my leadership skills and interpersonal skills such as communication, teamwork, and conflict mediation, and have obtained Project Management, Networking and Event Planning skills that will surely aid me in my future endeavors.As part of my commitment to growth, I'm currently enrolled in a project management course with Google. I'm always seeking to enhance my leadership and communication skills, recognizing the crucial role they play in the dynamic field of robotics.Come join me as I strive to make an impact through the world of robotics!
