I am an environmental journalist, author, editor, and food/travel writer that divides my time between Northern California and Latin America. My work has been published in over 30 different media outlets including Vice, Mongabay, Earth Island Journal, High Times Magazine, Parabola Magazine, Lonely Planet, Conde Nast, and Paste Magazine, where I wrote the environmental column EarthRx. I am the current author of the Moon Travel Guide series to Colombia and the editor of an upcoming anthology on plant medicines to be published by Zer0 Books in September of 2024.I possess academic certificates in Writing for Social Justice from UC Berkeley, Sustainable Tourism from the University of Copenhagen, and Gestion Territorial y Gobernabilidad Para el Tursimo en Colombia from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. I also have a certificate in Digital Journalism from the Reuters Foundation. I am a member of the Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ), the Solutions Journalism Network, the International Travel Writers Alliance, and the Cusco Writer's Guild.
