Mechanical Engineer
As a Mechanical Engineer at Honeywell I had two titles, Project Lead and Product Engineer. Both roles were part of a small to large engineering team requiring great technical communication skills and teamwork.On a daily basis I contacted our design agency and floor operations to ensure products were manufacturable, on-time, and met design intent from a quality and specification perspective.I regularly used ERP systems, work instruction routings, and technical drawings to develop products into a production ready state. These production programs had a time scale of years for development, and more years for full production.I would present potential and actual design issues to the designers and customers for full transparency and work with other engineering departments to reach a solution. These solutions were in many forms including specification changes, design changes, new tooling for the floor, and process improvements.I would also work towards reducing defects and cost, and present the results to the customer and other engineering review boards.
