Balboa was then owned by Avco Financial Services.Technical support and software development for an insurance tracking system that tracks coverage on automotive and mortgage collateral for some of the country’s largest lenders and determines when to ‘force place’ coverage. Development of, and enhancements to, electronic data interchange systems that interface with large insurance carriers’ systems. Joined CSC with its acquisition of the Information Systems assets and employees of Hughes Aircraft in January 1995. Most of the old Hughes Corporate Data Processing (CDP) group was relocated from Long Beach to El Segundo. I continued to support the Hughes Aircraft Payroll system and supervise most of the technical support staff, but the poor facilities and long commute drove me to leave for more local job at Balboa Insurance.

Hired into and worked for Corporate Data Processing (CDP) group of Hughes Aircraft in Long Beach. Group was outsourced to Computer Sciences Corp. in Jan. 1995.Predominately provided supervision, consulting, design, development, training and quality assurance for the Hughes Payroll System. Very much a hands-on type, often programming and providing services for this large Payroll System with its client-server features, distributed customer base and many interfaces. Supervised Payroll Systems Management group (approx. 18 employees), having primary responsibility for daily operation of and enhancements to Payroll System paying over 70,000 employees globally weekly. Made major improvements in the effectiveness of the group as well as to the reliability and capabilities of the system.
