I am a mechanical engineer with operation and design experience in the energy, power and oil & gas environments. I have worked with new build and running plant projects which involved engineering and project management related activities.Kelvion Services (formerly known as GEA) is an industry leader and have been trusted with the design and manufacture of thousands of complex heat exchanger projects (e.g., process air cooled heat exchangers, shell & tube HXs and tanks, large cooling towers etc.) for clients such as Sasol, Eskom, Astron, AngloPlatinum and Samancor over the years. As a mechanical engineer at Kelvion my daily responsibilities include thermal and mechanical design of various types of heat exchangers within the energy, power and oil & gas environments. Kelvion Services do not manufacture off the shelf equipment and each projects requires a custom design based on the service requirements.Previously, I've been involved in major and minor modification and maintenance projects on various sites which included elements such as process analysis, aspects of code design, computation fluid dynamics, process flow simulation and maintenance inspections. I have also project management related experience in the areas I mentioned above.I have written various papers on various engineering topics and presented at multiple international conferences such the ACC Users Group, FAN 2015, IAHR 2017 and PowerGen Africa 2018. Most recently I've presented a co-authored paper at CTI 2023.Colleagues know me as a hardworking, self-motivated engineer who takes initiative in finding simplistic and effective solutions to daily engineering challenges and problems. I am a conscious listener and understand the importance of healthy communication. I work well on my own but mostly enjoy working with others from not only the engineering discipline. I completed my B.Eng and MScEng at Stellenbosch University majoring in Fluid dynamics, heat transfer and turbomachinery. In 2016 I obtained my professional registration (Pr.Eng) from ECSA.
