My job was to liaise with the Dunamaise Arts Centre, the Local Authority Arts Officers Association, guest speakers and artists for the organisation of various events taking place in one specific day. The programme included a meeting of the arts officers in the morning, a panel discussion on art collections in the afternoon, and an official launch in the evening followed by a supper. In addition to the logistical aspect of the project such as catering, my job was also to arrange for adequate promotion of the exhibition (invites, press releases) and to find ways to maintain the interest of the public (through workshops with schools for instance). I also had to keep track of all payments and remain on budget. A very enjoyable experience. Show less
