With a passion for engineering and a professional background in retail, I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil and infrastructure engineering at Kingston University, while working as a retail assistant at John Lewis & Partners. At Kingston University, I have acquired theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering principles, design, and analysis, and completed projects on topics such as structural mechanics, fluid dynamics, geotechnical engineering, and sustainable development. I have also learned how to use software tools such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, and ANSYS to create and test engineering models and simulations. As a retail assistant, I have developed customer service, communication, and teamwork skills, while supporting the store operations and sales targets. I have also demonstrated my ability to handle challenging situations, such as resolving customer complaints, managing inventory, and adhering to health and safety protocols. My goal is to become a qualified and competent civil engineer who can contribute to the planning, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure projects that benefit society and the environment. I am eager to apply my engineering skills to real-world problems and create innovative solutions that meet the needs and expectations of clients and stakeholders.
