About Octavio Landeros

I was born in Mexico, in the town of Calvillo, Aguascalientes. When I was very young, my parents brought me and my older brother to the United States where we moved around a lot until we settled in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where I grew up. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's in mechanical engineering, and am the first person in my family to ever receive a college degree. I am passionate about fitness, music, and combat sports. I am currently working as a system performance and emissions engineer for the pickup platform at Cummins. I love my Job! Everyday brings a new problem which requires a new approach and work with brilliant engineers who constantly help build me into a greater asset. This position along with the positions I held in organizations, such as the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, have helped me internalize many engineering principals and lessons about team work and leadership.I love working with driven people who also keep things light hearted. I believe a good sense of humor can make even the most difficult tasks enjoyable and do my best to inject laughter into every environment I am in as my way of helping others to display their unique personality.
