Octavio González Luna, born in 1997 in Mexico, is a biotechnology engineer graduated from Universidad Veracruzana. He has demonstrated a constant commitment to learning and teaching. He is currently completing a master of science degree in energy technology and a master of science degree in astrobiology, as well as a bachelor of science degree in mathematics. As a subject teacher, he has taught subjects such as Dynamics, Transport Phenomena, Matter and Energy Balance, Physical Chemistry, Differential Equations, Multivariable Calculus, One Variable Calculus, Analytic Geometry, Numerical Methods, Programming, Algebra, Financial Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, Drawing, English, Research Methodology, Geography, Biology, Chemistry and Logic. He contributed in the design of the 2020 plan for the Biotechnology Engineering program at Universidad Veracruzana. In addition, he coordinated the University Program of Inclusive Education in the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the same university. He has participated in national congresses and academic committees, including the prevalidation of reagents for the General Examination for the Graduation of the Bachelor's Degree (EGEL Plus) in Biotechnology Engineering. His technical skills include the use of several programming, modeling and data analysis tools such as R, Python and MATLAB. He also has knowledge in bioinformatics and biorefineries, among other scientific topics. He has accredited the EXAVER 3 (upper intermediate level) English certification exam in 2024. He has also obtained a C1 (Low Advanced) level certificate in 2021 and a C2 (Proficient) level certificate by EF SET in 2023. His passion for diversity and inclusion is reflected in his training in Mexican Sign Language, Braille system and in the publication of her book “Queer Theory: A Brief Introduction to Diversity”. He is a lover of the arts and is a member of choral, theater and dance groups.
