I was also in charge of applying patients for Medicaid, especially Long-Term Care medicaid (ICPMedicaid), I handled most communication between DCF, facility, and family members. I would collect allinformation needed, for DCF to determine if they would qualify for Medicaid, if families went through alawyer, I would be in constant contact with the lawyer's office or lawyer (themselves). I would attendand schedule meetings with families if they needed financial help/advice if they were coming in for long-term care. I also worked with a program called Prime Claims, it is an insurance program on electronicpayments from insurance companies. you can also collect and print out insurance claim information, regarding if the patient owed a co-insurance.
