Community Engagement and Collaboration

Create classroom initiatives to engage students and connect these initiatives to career pathways across the campus milieu; work with discipline specific faculty to promote curricular changes that will close achievement gaps.

Provide on-campus and off-campus opportunities for prospective students to become assessed as part of the matriculation process at Bakersfield College. Insure that assessment scores and information is routinely uploaded and accurately filed to so that students and counseling faculty have the information needed to place students in college classes. Participate on the matriculation committee and provide information regarding student placement and the ability to matriculate on the college. Oversee the Assessment Center's database management systems to insure that the data migration is timely and accurate.
