For more information, please visit us at www.portvanusa.com.General Duties• Supervise Fleet Superintendent, Rail Superintendent, Facilities Superintendent, and manage facilities maintenance staff.• Assist in developing short and long-term plans for strategic development of port facilities.• Maintain open and consistent communications with tenants regarding facilities and infrastructure needs.• Work with Engineering, Marketing, Operations and Property & Development to develop preliminary building and site layouts and alternatives for new tenants and development.• Assist with annual budgeting and implementation of the Port of Vancouver's Capital Facilities Plan.• Responsible for automated maintenance work order system administration establishing and ensuring workload prioritization for customer service and maintenance operations; manages the processes for work flow, distribution, workload, measurement and evaluation.• Develops and coordinates maintenance improvement programs for the identification and prioritization of department needs.

Responsible for the overall plant safety, compliance and well being of persons on the site. Responsible for the overall plant environmental compliance. Responsible for management of the company property, facility support operations, safety, security, and environmental programs.Responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities. Performs all tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures, exercising reasonable regard for his or her own safety, the safety of others, and the safety and security of company property. Essential Functions include but are not limited to: Advise top management on outside issues effecting plant utilities, construction, and site issues. Interface with outside agencies including city, utilities, fire and law enforcement. Represent the company and top management as needed for professional/governmental engagements. Direct facilities personnel for scheduling and prioritizing of work items. Interview, retain, coordinate, schedule and monitor sub-contractor activities and performance. Maintain and keep updated facilities blueprint and CAD system. Establish and maintain the budget for facilities department. Project management including design, cost estimates, budgets, scheduling and implementation for construction/remodel projects. Establish policies regarding employee well being, safety, security, and environmental issues. Responds to facilities alarms on an on-call basis, twenty-four hours per day, 365 days per year. Develop and review equipment /system plans, specifications and drawings Establish/maintain site and space development plans.Review all chemicals and hazardous production equipment entering the plant. Have a working knowledge of all facility systems.Provide input to top management regarding facilities department personnel's performance. Provide technical assistance or guidance to junior level facilities personnel on current projects
