The career that aligns most with my natural ability to talk a lot of sh*t and help people tell their stories? Well it's PR of course. I'm a publicist with a bow or two strung in digital marketing with a passion for helping change makers tell their stories. I really enjoy taking the time to build rapport with our clients to understand their story before teasing out meaningful strategic direction. I'm committed to securing genuine and valuable coverage for my clients and am lucky to have a beautiful network and knowledge of the media landscape.Knowing that PR can be a pretty hefty spend for small businesses (but oh-so-powerful) has motivated me to design my PR mentoring program. Hack Your Own PR is held online for business owners with great stories to tell. It's designed for conscious companies who value equally their people, our communities, the environment, and profit. In 2016 I founded Odette & Co, a boutique PR and social agency based in the beautiful Byron Bay region (also known as Paradise with a capital ‘P’). We love where we live almost as much as we love what we do. We take on a small book of clients who we help tell meaningful stories through digital marketing and public relations.

During the state-wide restructure of TAFE NSW I was seconded to the Regional Business Partner position where I played a key role in bridging the gap between the Sydney corporate office and the regional marketing and communications teams.

Responsible for local media, marketing and promotions campaigns to support increased enrolments and to enhance local reputation in the Richmond region. • Achieved monthly audience reach exceeding 9M through regularly secured media coverage across television, radio, print and online. • With support of marketing and communication portfolios, developed the highly successful 2017 enrolment campaign.

With over 17 campuses along the northern NSW coastline, North Coast TAFE Institute has as broad footprint with disparate communications challenges. In June I accepted a three month contract to back fill the Manager, Media and PR role. My role saw me liaising with the executive team to manage external communication challenges to ensure positive coverage of the organisation was achieved. • Procured and implemented monthly business reporting across media channels to better understand brand sentiment, visibility and performance.• Secured television, radio, print and online coverage across the footprint. • Managed a number of media crisis achieving positive brand mentions despite negative press around NSW TAFE announcements, showcasing the brand in a positive light

As a dynamic and strategic leader with specialist experience in results driven campaigns, I managed the APA's key marketing objectives across web, social and email marketing, and through media and print marketing. Achievements- Exceeded Q1 2016 sales budget through integrated lead generation campaign delivering over $1M in professional development revenue.- Secured local and product partners to launch 2016 Back to School integrated community campaign reaching over 10 million Australians through media outreach and 650,000 through Facebook, YouTube and Twitter channels.- Through a strategic partnership with Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, led a consumer health campaign for Men’s Health Week raising over 2.9 million impressions through a local area and viral social media campaign.

The Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) is the peak national body representing the physiotherapy profession in Australia with over 21 000 members. I took carriage of the APA's digital communication suite including member website and microsites, external and member eDM campaigns and social platforms.- Provided seamless delivery and scheduling of marketing campaigns across all channels including eDMs, publications, website and social media.- Developed digital strategies to support eCommerce portal, learning management system and key campaigns.- Business reporting across digital platforms including eCommerce, Hootsuite, Google Analytics and email campaign software.- Project managed procurement of digital jobs platform; introduction of automated software increased organisation efficiency, diversified non-member revenue and exceeded business objectives.
