My career goal is to make medical technology more accessible for regional, rural, and low-income Australians, so that no rural mother has to choose between treating her breast cancer or moving away from home. I have a particular interest in women's and queer health, oncology, infectious disease, epilepsy, and stroke, and I am driven to share my enthusiasm for medicine and engineering through education. Working at the innovative Monash Tech School, I have had the opportunity to see first-hand the impact that equitable access to education and a passion for learning can have on the attitudes students take home.I communicate confidently and professionally with a full range of stakeholders and industry sectors, which frequently involves resynthesising complex information in a manner which is understandable to non-experts. I have demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects which exceed requirements, which I hope to leverage in the development of innovative medical technology.
