Under the ANIP (Australian National University Internship Program) program, I assisted the executive director in doing research on urban infill/urban renewal policy and implementation in Canberra as well as producing reports that are used to educate people and coordinate with the government.

During the semester break of my study at ANU, I conducted an internship for Forest Action Nepal (http://forestaction.org/), a Kathmandu-based think tank that focuses on research and policy dialogue for productive, equitable, and sustainable forest and natural resource management. As the work of this institution is closely related to my study at Crawford School of Public Policy ANU, I was able to compare my theoretical learning in the classroom with the real implementation on the ground. Moreover, during my time internship, I managed to conduct several field studies to observe the implementation of Community Based Forest Management in different districts in Nepal. I managed to present the findings from my field research in Nepal at ANU Student Research Conference 2015 held on 16 July 2015 and at the 15th Graduate Research Presentation at the University of Hawai'i in Manoa in February 2016.

Under ANU-UGM Research Collaboration on Legislative Election, my work as a field researcher was as follow:• Conducting interviews to 30 legislative candidates and their successful team.• Conducting behavioral observations (candidate shadowing) to 5 legislative candidates and 5 members of the successful team, with a focus on the interaction of the candidate to their constituents and their campaign style.• Collecting data in form of daily report, interview summary, observations report, event report, and shadowing report.• Collecting documentation of audio / visual acquired during the research period.• Writing mid term reports and final reports based on the interviews and observations.Within this project, I was able to co-write a book in Indonesian and English as follow:• Co-write Chapter 6 “Jakarta: Kesejahteraan Sosial dan Layanan untuk Konsistuen di Kota Metropolis” on a book “Politik Uang di Indonesia: Patronase dan Klientelisme pada Pemilu Legislatif 2014” published by PolGov UGM in January 2015 • Co write “Electoral Dynamics in Indonesia: Money Politics, Patronage and Clientelism at the Grassroots” published by National University of Singapore in March 2016

Working with center for political studies in Faculty of Social and Political Science UI, my scope of work includes conducting in depth interviews in Aceh province to three respondents from different organizations, collecting audio/visual documentation, writing interview summaries, analyzing the results, and producing reports as part of preliminary study for research project “Election and the Utilization of Technology in Indonesia” conducted by Center for Political Studies UI, supported by Southeast Asia Technology & Transparency Initiative (SEATTI).

I worked together with two other staffs in establishing a university for master degree level from a piece of paper into a school that has building, staffs and students.
