Odilon is an experienced public company board director and committee chair, and an expert regarding global business and digital transformation. As an executive, he served until recently as CEO of a global public company, and earlier as president of the largest business unit of a public Fortune 500 company with global operations. His sector experience is broad, from consumer packaged goods to telecommunications, technology and financial services. He is one of the world’s experts regarding payments – both as an early pioneer, and then through the complete digital transformation of the sector. Odilon’s boardroom experience includes serving on the boards of three public companies for more than a decade, including three years as an executive board member while CEO. He has experience as a committee chair (Business Conduct and Compliance), and as a member of the Audit and the Nominating and Governance Committees. He is well liked and respected as a board member, and his former board colleagues unanimously laude his skilled board-level handling of the most “atomic” situations with grace. He brings to the boardroom expert perspectives across a broad range of topics, from leading growing and scaling truly global operations, to highly regulated industries. Odilon is a global citizen, born in Brazil and based in Miami, Florida. His early corporate experience includes more than a decade in regional Latin American roles for marquee brands like Shell, Coca-Cola and Colgate-Palmolive. For the most recent two decades of his career, he served as a senior executive of US-based global companies in the financial and technology services sectors. As a President/CEO, he built a track record of driving profitable growth and transformation of global businesses. He led meaningful growth and margin expansion of Western Union’s largest business unit (global money transfer), representing 90% of its $5.6b in revenues, with operations in 200+ countries. And subsequently as CEO of ACI Worldwide, he led margin growth of more than 500 basis points and organic revenue growth (to $1.5b in 80+ countries) after a decade of decline. Since his last executive role, Odilon has remained highly engaged in business, founding a venture capital and PE advisory firm, serving on several corporate boards, working as an operating partner with Advent (one of the world's largest global private equity companies), and founding a foundation dedicated to serving needs of the disadvantaged.
