Other duties include:• Work closely with clients and sub-contractors and provide high-level technical advice and guidance on various tender submissions ensuring all key areas are addressed and understood.• Complete a broad range of contract administration duties including document control, material lists for subcontractors along with advising subcontractors on pre and post contract documentation on requirements.• Read, interpret and understand detailed engineering drawings, plans and schematics relating to projects. • Create, develop and compile job costings in line with all specific requirements and needs as requested by the sub-contractor. Take account of all materials and labour estimates and action accordingly. • Prepare contract change notices, monitor contractor performance, including the reporting and status of contractor and owner deliverables.• Review all BOQ’s, variations, TQs and RFIs before submitting to the client to ensure all works have been picked up on and actioned accordingly. • Prepare and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding contract status and facilitate client meetings both on and off site. • Ensure that contractor is in compliance with legal requirements, owner specifications and other regulations. Procured and sourced the correct materials as per specifications for best price. • Estimated structural steelworks and architectural works including balustrading, handrails etc., for both commercial and domestic projects in line with all statutory and regulatory requirements and controls.• Visited project work sites, participated in pre-proposal meetings, clarified scope of works and prepared RFI's.• Evaluated projects for constructability and value-engineer cost savings.• Worked closely with project operations personnel and other stakeholders to develop strategy, competitive differentiation and an overall understanding of the project.• Developed and managed the pre-proposal RFI process and list of clarifications and exceptions to the offer.
