Construction Coordinator
CurrentI manage various operational aspects of our construction projects, working closely with site supervisors, builders, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflows and timely completions.My role requires a high degree of multitasking, communication, and organizational skills, allowing me to effectively handle responsibilities such as:- Payroll Management: Crosschecking and adjusting technicians' hours to account for overtime, ensuring accurate payroll processing.- Invoice Processing: Receiving and processing subcontractor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and managing backcharges and change requests.- Scheduling: Coordinating schedules for plumbing and gas installations by liaising with site supervisors, builders, and other departments to ensure efficient use of resources and timely job completion.- Material Procurement: Ordering job-specific materials like tubs, showers, and necessary equipment to meet job deadlines.- Builder Portal & Email Management: Monitoring builder portals and emails to track project updates, upcoming dates, and communicate with stakeholders effectively.- City Inspections: Booking and managing city inspections, ensuring all required jobs are completed on time.- Problem Solving: Dealing with issues as they arise, communicating solutions effectively, and maintaining professionalism and calm under pressure.- Collaboration: Working alongside colleagues to handle overlapping responsibilities and provide seamless support to the construction department.In this role, I’ve been instrumental in optimizing workflows, managing competing priorities, and maintaining clear and consistent communication with all parties involved, from subcontractors to city officials.
