As Music Director and Conductor, my duties vary widely. Aside from season planning including selecting repertoire, securing soloists and conducting all rehearsals and performances, I work with every department in any capacity as necessary to build and foster the orchestra. From the Event Manager, the Librarian, marketing and sales, fund raising, and budgeting, the key role of the Music Director is flexibility. It is my honor to work with such a devoted and stellar group.

This is the online version of the Daniels' Orchestral Music reference book. We analyze orchestral scores and add them to the database. The database feeds both the online version and the print version.

I have worked as music director to musical theatre companies (community, regional and professional) in NC and TX where I vocally coached individuals, choruses, rehearsed orchestras and bands and conducted performances. Other conducting activities included guest conducting for many ensembles including concert bands, jazz bands, and orchestras. I served as Music Director and Conductor of the Lee County Orchestra for 13 seasons. A position I left with sadness in order to relocate back to my home state of Texas. In Austin, I am currently conducting two ensembles the Starlight Symphony Orchestra and the Austin Philharmonic.Additionally, I have composed background music for iPhone-based video games.

As Client Services Manager, I managed and cultivated a great team of client support specialists who assisted companies with their custom web and database solution. I worked with Development, Management and HR, established effective Client Communications and managed escalations, Led and fostered team communications with other business departments, Scoped and led internal development projects, Implemented continuous process improvement techniques. Additionally, I implemented and configured the web-based help desk and enhanced client communication methodologies and delivery. I established a formal “Statement of Work” document review and approval process, revamped Annual and Bi-annual review policies and procedures, revamped team structure and roles and responsibilities, established issue escalation procedure, fostered continuous improvement environment, created team esprit de corps, and trained new employees on process and procedures.

In this position, I developed new accounts with university professors. Communicated with clients through forums, blogging, social networking, PM, Skype, SMS texting, phone, and face-to-face. Provided technical support to all clients. Consulted and trained customers through clinics, presentations and software embedded videos. Advocated for clients to R&D that resulted in customer-driven requirements.

I established the University Orchestra from scratch and built the program into a featured university performing ensemble. This position, as all teaching posts, was a wild card position where you teach everything from Music History, Music Theory, to vocal and instrumental ensembles and applied performance techniques. Highlights of my tenure at HPU included music directing the musicals, organizing and leading the basketball Pep Band and founding the University Orchestra.

Worked for individuals and corporations completing tasks from upgrading RAM to installing networked servers and building computers. Essentially if it plugged in and was not working, I was called.

While at NC A&T, I taught music appreciation and co-taught an English Literature and Arts class. Additionally, I coached small instrumental ensembles and music listening study groups.

Served on the 2nd Level Tech Support Team working on customer software issues remotely through PCAnywhere. Tasks included fixing profile errors/bugs to working in the registry to correct more serious issues. Also required some hardware support: replacing laptop motherboards, screens, and hard drives.

Working out of the corporate headquarters, I trained staff on all approved software applications, managed six Windows servers and fifty local workstations. Maintained LAN security and integrity. Tech Support for all technology that used electricity - local and remote. "Go To" guy for anything that plugs in.

As a professional photographer I won many awards while in Houston. Specialties included: weddings, model portfolios, head shots, nature, candid / corporate parties, musical and sporting event coverage for individuals. I spent much of the time in the dark room processing my own black & white and color images.
