Ofelia Arzate is a Mexican-Canadian photographic artist living and working in Canada since 2013 and currently residing in the Annapolis Valley, Mi’kma’ki (Nova Scotia). She received her BA in Marketing from ITESM Campus Queretaro in 2007 and her MBA in 2009. With a documentary approach she explores the role and connections of people towards themselves, in relation to their family and friends, and the atmosphere around them. Her complex and multi-dimensional scenes demonstrate a particular skill to see the most subtle of gestures. Her photography work is one to be savoured beyond the first layers that catch the audience attention.
