* The fundamental aspect of this role is to build a planning department from scratch, initially implementing simple scheduling concepts, and later having a functional department focused on core processes as time progressed. To achieve this essential objective, the following activities were developed:* Planning/supervisor shift-log data; planning meeting minutes; workshop activity log; asset entry completion in CMMS; backlog management with statuses in CMMS; PM kit package identification for production fleets; define an organizational chart with job descriptions; Gantt charts; weekly workflow/plan; weekly scheduling; PM monitoring and control; downtime forecast; man-power analysis; PM setup in CMMS; introduction of basic key performance indicators, tracking of component change-out data; warranty management; review of spare parts consumption and inventory levels; hands-on training/coaching subordinate team members; guidance on reliability and condition monitoring; PCR forecast and budgeting. * Oversaw the maintenance scheduling and ensured PM compliance for 65 main production machines (drills, excavators, loaders, haul trucks, wheel/tracked dozers, motor graders) and 186 support equipment (telehandlers, compactors, cranes, dewatering pumps, medium/light vehicles, gensets, lighting plants, air compressors), improving the PM service accuracy from 10% to 52% for main production machines and the PM schedule compliance from 32% to 79% respectively, during this period.

Provided leadership, training, development, and direction to the subordinate national staff ensuring that the business objectives of the company are consistently achieved through the efficient management of the operation. The data technical officer is the owner of the mining equipment's key performance indicators in the computerized maintenance management system, ensuring that data inputs are recorded properly into the system and the statistics produced are reliable and readily available for further analysis. Some additional work activities include:* Verify the site's dispatch system every hour and make sure all down equipment is tabulated accurately into sap/amt with the correct coding according to the machine's condition and failure cause* Follow-up and ensure that the equipment returned to service is back into operation at the time the maintenance team released it* Create daily reports for mine maintenance management: month to date physical and mechanical availability; PM schedule compliance; travel times for large hydraulic excavators* Make weekly reports for mine maintenance management: weekly summary for PM schedule compliance; weekly summary in travel times for hydraulic excavators; report on pareto and failures analysis occurred in hydraulic excavators by task type and component code* Generate a monthly report for all fleets (marc and non-marc) involving these key performance indicators: physical availability, mechanical availability, MTBS, MTBF, MTTR, MTBS after PM, service accuracy, breakdown downtime hours & planned downtime hours (stoppages and breakdown analysis), backlog aging, and other specific reports requested by maintenance management* Supervise three data entry clerks working on rotating shifts covering 24/7; escalate and fix issues they cannot solve on their shift* Perform as a back-up planner/scheduler when the incumbent is not present at the mine site

The purpose of this position in the planning department is to develop the most appropriate method and sequence of equipment maintenance operations for the customer 'Prodeco' at Jagua open-pit coal mine.
