Dr. Ekechi is a distinguished academic with a strong educational background and extensive teaching experience. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Ibadan, an M.A. and a PGDE (Post Graduate Diploma in Education) from the University of Lagos, and a B.A. in Linguistics from the University of Calabar.She is currently a faculty member at Pan Atlantic University's Institute of Humanities in Lagos, Nigeria. Her instructional portfolio includes a wide range of subjects, including World Civilization, Library Use, Study Skills, ICT, and English Communication.Prior to joining PAU, Dr. Ekechi was the Principal of Aquinas Private College. She also worked part-time as an English lecturer at Yaba College of Technology and Lagos State University, Ojo. She has also taken on the position of project supervisor for final-year English undergraduate and master's students at the National Open University.Her involvement extends beyond academia. She currently holds the esteemed position of Zonal Director (South West) at the Institute of Security and Forensic Studies Nigeria. Furthermore, she is a certified Fellow in Security and Document/Signature Examination Forensic Studies by the Institute. Dr. Ekechi's academic research interests include sociolinguistics, pragmatics, cultural linguistics, social semiotics, and intercultural communication. Her membership in prestigious organizations such as the Nigerian Pragmatics Association, English Scholars Association and Corpus Linguistic Association of Nigeria demonstrates her commitment to scholarly research.
