The Stephen Lewis Foundation (SLF) champions health and human rights through community-led partners in 14 countries in Africa to end AIDS. Since 2003, the SLF has supported grassroots organizations addressing the HIV epidemic in their communities. Many of these organizations began as small groups responding to the crisis of AIDS, and have since evolved into vital local institutions with deep connections to the people they serve.As a Digital Communications Specialist, my responsibilities include:leading the design, copywriting, and rollout of engaging content for diverse social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.Managing the creation and execution of paid social media ad campaigns to achieve goals such as increasing awareness, driving web traffic, and boosting newsletter sign-ups, while overseeing campaign budgets.Collaborating with SLF colleagues, partner organizations in Africa, and SLF donors to gather impact stories, quotes, and multimedia content.

As a community engagement manager and poet, I create exciting and personalized experiences for others.Community engagement responsibilities:Community Building and Event Management: I organize, plan and coordinate a rangeof events that offer interactive and enriching experiences for participants, encouragingconnectivity and engagement. Strategic Collaborations and Outreach Efforts: I reach out to organizations, groups,and individuals for potential collaborations, sponsorships and partnerships that support community engagement efforts. You’ll work closely with the Partnership Development Manager to formalize these relationships and explore synergies.Feedback and Impact Assessment: I collect feedback from community activities and events to identify areas for improvement.
