I am an Architectural lighting designer with a passion for sustainable lighting solutions that are not just aesthetically pleasing and ecologically sustainable, but also functional, while considering the comfort, health and safety of the user. In simple terms, I am passionate about the right kind of light. This is because Architecture and light for me is not just a profession or a passion, it is a lifestyle, it is a culture. Outside of my regular job as a lighting designer, I am raising awareness on the importance of intentional lighting within the context of Architecture and design in Africa through workshops, seminars and knowledge exchange between professionals, students, and enthusiasts interested in intentional lighting. As an immigrant myself, and because I love to talk about integration and diversity, In my spare time through my podcast, The Diary Of Us, I collect and promote inspiring stories of guests with immigrant backgrounds in Germany who through unfiltered and authentic interviews provide firsthand accounts of how they have navigated the intricate web of language, education, employment, self identity as well as cultural adaptation. Through these stories, we uncover the boundless opportunities that arise when cultures collide and inspire a broader understanding of the vibrant and diverse community that exists within Germany.
