Oghenekome Favour Oghighe, is a committed public school biology teacher who is fully dedicated to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals' fourth objective, which is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. She currently provides scholarship to over 25 indigent students in the school where she teaches. Her drive to be a better teacher drove her into becoming a certified Khan Educator and UNESCO MGIEP CERTIFIED DIGITAL TEACHER. This has greatly positioned her to better prepare students for the future by integrating cutting-edge digital tools and methodologies into her online and in-person science and maths classes. Having worked with students for over 13 years, she consistently brings biology to life in the eyes of her students through experiments, engaging classroom activities and outstanding ability to explain difficult concepts. This is evident through a track record of success of her students in internal and external examination. With the most recent being 93% success in 2023 WAEC Examination.Oghenekome has the ability to work with students in collaborative environment. Can use SMART technologies to facilitate engaging lessons with a focus on biology. She has worked on developing lesson plans consistent with established guidelines and motivate students to develop skill and attitudes. She is great at providing feedback on each student's progress to the students, parents and management so as to guide each child towards success.Oghenekome volunteers to teach biology to 11- to 15-year-olds every Saturdays at Excellent Tutor Academy. She also leads a team of nine teachers every Sunday. This has afforded her the opportunity to organize successful children parties, teacher's CPD and workshops. Oghenekome was the best graduating student of Science Education at Delta State University, Abraka, 2009/2010 session and has a knack for turning her students into becoming the best.I teach science and maths to years 4 - 8 online .
