Ensured optimal performance of flood production system and subsystems by managing SLA development and fulfillment, establishing KPIs, creating dashboard to track metrics, and directing complete SDLC. Garnered cost savings by improving workflow and introducing new functionality. Oversaw activities of IT infrastructure team including BizTalk interfaces, DBAs, systems and network administrators, and GIS staff. Led 5-person development/analysis team plus 3-10 India-based staff.

Performed all IT support functions for the Flood office. Managed a team of 4 direct reports supporting local users and remote customers. This position was a promotion from my SysAdmin role at CIGNA FIS below. Supported NT 4.0, Solaris 2.4, IBM OS/2, Exchange 5.5, Cisco 3600 RAS device, and Telix servers for DOS dial-up customers. Created EDI solutions based on customer requirements including frame relay and dial-up connections.

Starting in an entry level IT position I quickly received promotions into NT and Unix administration roles. I developed Perl scripts to automate various administrative tasks and provided support for WAN (ISDN to 8 home offices, Frame Relay to 2 satellite offices), Solaris 2.x, NT 4.0, Win 95, X-terminals, Exchange 5.5, Sybase System 10, UNIX and NT print services (bootp/jetdirect/DLC/IP), AT&T Definity switch, etc.
