These SDKs are now released publicly on the developers’ section and have proven to be extremely helpful for independent software vendors to understand Star line mode commands. I also crafted full documentation and robust commenting for ease of use “out-of-the-box”. Star Micronics executives have praised me highly for my attention to detail on this project as well as my other projects with the company.➢ Currently architecting a remote management system for Star Printers and many other “internet aware” devices. I rapidly prototyped a working utility in one week to do basic status polling to the “cloud” with a combination of C#, MySQL, PHP, & HTML5/AJAX/JavaScript/jQuery.➢ Designing Android application user interfaces with Eclipse/ADT and Photoshop to “polish” the team’s projects. ➢ Communicate daily with developers in London, Japan, and New York by collaborating through our online SVN project management system. I was responsible for coding touch-screen logic, SAS exception parsing, FutureLogic printer communication, and MySQL database queries. Helped make the system run faster by switching video playback frameworks from MVideo to VLC. This boosted system CPU performance by 12% and video playback quality was dramatically improved to near HD quality. ➢ Configured Linux servers IPTable rules in a pre-production environment with custom built threat detection software that parsed log files for anomalies. Installed them in the production environment and PCI compliance security experts tried to break it right after turning the power on which proved to show no security issues.➢ Formally submitted projects to the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Gaming Laboratories International.
