The Quantamental & Derivatives team at 1832 Asset Management L.P. predominantly covers a large range of U.S.centric large and mid-cap listed equities, the Portfolio Analyst will have the opportunity to:- Work with the Quantitative & Derivatives Portfolio team to generate both long- and short-term trade ideas expressed using both equities and equity derivatives.- Expand knowledge beyond traditional fundamental analysis and modelling and learn about quantitative techniques, derivatives analysis and trading, risk and portfolio management.- Generate and maintain proprietary analysis on the sector(s) and the companies initially assigned with potential to expand into other sectors.

- Lead a team providing daily end-to-end operational support to all portfolio management groups within CI GAM.- Act as an escalation point of contact for the portfolio management teams.- Provide guidance and assistance to the other team members, to help build the depth and breadth of skills and knowledge on the team.- Lead portfolio transitions and other operational projects. Helping to coordinate with all groups to manage the planning, execution, and post go live phases successfully.- instrumental in driving the centralization of trade management within CI GAM.

- Oversee a team providing daily end-to-end operational support to all portfolio management groups within CI.- Act as an escalation point of contact for the portfolio management teams.- Provide guidance and assistance to the other team members, to help build the depth and breadth of skills and knowledge on the team.- Investigate and resolve both simple and complex price and/or NAV discrepancies.- Proactively identify and implement opportunities and enhancements to improve processes.- Proactively research and validate multiple corporate action events for multiple markets across a diverse range of portfolios.- Manage collateral and counterparty exposures for all derivative instruments traded by the CI portfolio management teams.

- Provide daily trading operations support from end-to-end, to all Portfolio Management groups within CI.- Key contact for the portfolio management teams.- Provide guidance and assistance to the other team members, to help build the depth and breadth of skills and knowledge on the team.- Communicate trade allocations across all markets to brokers, custodians and clients where necessary, verifying trades settle on time and research and correct any trade discrepancies.- Work with brokers and custodians globally on international trade settlement issues in several markets.- Act as an escalation point of contact for post trade settlement discrepancies.- Investigate and resolve both simple and complex price challenges.- Proactively identify and implement opportunities and enhancements to improve functions.- Monitor daily reconciliations between various internal and external systems.- Proactively research and validate multiple corporate action events for multiple markets across a diverse range of portfolios.- Manage collateral held at counterparty, brokers and custodians.-Maintain team procedures and provide regular management reporting.- Act as a point of contact for simple and complex instruments for downstream Performance and Risk applications tools.

Responsible for the coordination and effectiveness of all systems and parties relating to trade support functions, focusing on derivatives and alternative investments. Includes supporting derivatives trading and settlement, collateral management, and derivative securities performance valuation. Also responsible for Corporate action administration and research. Involves close communication with brokers, CI’s portfolio management teams and traders, CI’s custodians, fund accounting, traders and governance.
