I received my BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees in electronics and telecommunications engineering from the University of Kocaeli, Kocaeli, Turkey, in 2001, 2003, and 2006, respectively. Since 2001, I have been with the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, University of Kocaeli, Turkey, where I am currently appointed as full professor. I worked as a visiting professor at Chung-Ang University, Korea, between 2006-2007. My research interests are in the area of image/video processing, machine learning, and embedded systems.During 2008-2013, I was one of the founding partner of Pars Ar-Ge Ltd. which is a spin-off company from University of Kocaeli where I acted as CTO and managed various projects. I founded EVSTEK Ltd. in 2013 which focuses on embedded systems and vision technologies.I am a senior member of IEEE.Specialties: Image/video processing, machine learning, and embedded systems.
