I am presently working as a City Planner at Didim Municipality. Didim is a district of Aydin Province on the Aegean coast of western Turkey and also it is the site of the antique cities of Miletus, Priene, Didyma and the astonishing Temple of Apollo.My background includes working as an Urban Planner in any scale of governmental projects. Most recently, I’ve been working with the planning team of Bosporus region of Istanbul which is a natural strait and an internationally significant waterway. Shores of the Bosporus are settled with historic waterfront buildings in a natural layout. Complexity of Istanbul and the natural and historical significance of the planning area provides various challenges and these require multi disciplinary approach with several skills. In addition to this experience, I gained considerable skills on policy, executive correspondence and coordinating large scale projects when I worked as a consultant for the Deputy Secretary General of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.In New York University where I took my masters degree, I studied Urban Planning on Economic Development and Housing Track. Primarily I gained knowledge on urban economics, land use law, statistics, finance and management. I also worked as a research assistant on a transportation planning study.I have experience on Master Planning. I worked on Master Plan of Istanbul in Istanbul Metropolitan Planning and Urban Design Authority.I have strong computer proficiency in GIS, CAD, Office, Graphic Design and Statistical Analysis Software.
